“The Trees of the Dancing Goats,” Patricia Polacco (1996, Simon & Schuster; $16). Polacco’s memories of a special Chanukah with her parents and grandparents whose overflowing love and Hanukkah spirit inspired them to help neighbors in need celebrate Christmas.
